Jurgis Kairys participated in FAI Freestyle World Aerobatic Championship and won his 5th medal.
Jurgis Kairys participated in 25th FAI Freestyle World Aerobatic Championship after 13 years and won the second place. This was the fifth medal in FAI World Aerobatic Championships (1998 RedDir Canada - Silver, 1990 Iverdone Switzerland - Gold, 1994 Mishkolce Hungary - Gold, 1996 OklahomaCity USA -  Silver, 2009 Silverstone England – Silver).

Castor Fantoba will represent Spain instead of Ramon Alonso

Spanish pilot Ramon Alonso could not participate in FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula. Under these circumstances the Young  Spanish aerobatic pilot Castor Fantoba will be representing Spain in FAI Mamaia WEAF.

The match for $100 000 in 'FAI Al Ain International Aerobatic Championship'
In Al Ain International Airshow 2008, UAE, 24-27 January for the first time the 'FAI Al Ain International Aerobatic Championship' competition was held following the "JK Aerobatic Formula" rules and programme of the Lithuanian pilot Jurgis Kairys. The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority established prize fund of $100 000 heated the emotions of the spectators and competitors .

2008 FAI Al Ain International Aerobatic Championship Resuts
After a tense competition Ramon Alonso showed the best time in two days contest flights and was announced the winner of   FAI Al Ain International Aerobatic Championship 2008. Svetlana Kapanina from Russia took the second place; The prospective French pilot Katel Boulanger was third; Zoltan Veres (Hungary) – 4th place; Mark Jefferies (Great Britain) – 5th  place, Yoshi Muroya (Japan) – 6th place; Micheal M. Racy (USA) – 7th  place, Francesko Fornabaio (Italy) – 8th place.

Jurgis Kairys' spin can become a record
During the Al Ain International Aerobatic Show 2008 in UAE, January 27 the event was marked by a record- Jurgis Kairys set a challenge for future pilots with his 34,5 straight down snap rolls in 23 seconds.

FAI WEAF competition will hit Romanian Mamaia beach this July
July 10 -12, 2009 FAI WEAF competition will take place in FAI MAMAIA WORLD ELITE AEROBATIC FORMULA event in Romania, near the famous Mamaia beach, by the Black Sea.

FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula is the first air aerobatics event organized in Romania under the auspices of the International Aeronautics Federation - FAI.
