FAI WEAF competition will hit Romanian Mamaia beach this July 2009-06-01

July 10 -12, 2009 FAI WEAF competition will take place in FAI MAMAIA WORLD ELITE AEROBATIC FORMULA event in Romania, near the famous Mamaia beach, by the Black Sea.

FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula is the first air aerobatics event organized in Romania under the auspices of the International Aeronautics Federation - FAI.

FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula is a high-level sport event and a high-class entertainment, providing for a huge audience the opportunity to admire sensational exercises, high human and technical performance, precision and passion.

FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula aims at maximizing the creative potential of the best aerobatic pilots in the world, imposing new rules and exigent procedures, approved by  FAI, CIVA (International Aerobatic Committee) and the organizer of contest Jurgis Kairys.

The competition “FAI - Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula” consists of two parts: aerobatic against time (AAT) and aerobatics freestyle (AF).

The following pilots are expected to take part in this competition:
 
1. Castor Fantoba, Spain 
2. Svetlana Kapanina, Russia.
3. Renoud Escalle, France.
4. Hubie Tolson, USA.
5. Tom Cassels, UK.
6. Philipp Steinbach, Germany.
7. Zoltan Veres, Hungary.
8. Pierre Marmy, Switzerland.
 
“FAI Mamaia World Elite Aerobatic Formula” will be attended by top pilots from international aviation. In order to have a more attractive schedule for both the specialists and the public, the competition alternates with a special show program performed by the top pilots of FAI WEAF and Romania.
